Top-Management Responsibility for Operational Business


As Leader of the Regional Headquarter Asia-Pacific located in Singapore and as Managing Director of Sales Subsidiaries in Singapore, Hong Kong and Thailand I have been closely involved in the day-to-day operations for a long time. Throughout these years I established new sales subsidiaries in Thailand, Australia, New Zealand and Malaysia thanks to the great support of an extremely dedicated local team. Built up of the business for volume and for luxury brands was achieved via a network of trade and of project customers.

When working at the Corporate Headquarter I carried the responsibility for the Sales Regions Turkey/Eastern-Europe/Africa and for South-America. Important tasks consisted of the establishment of new sales subsidiaries in Romania, Ukraine, South-Africa and Chile as well as a Business Unit in Turkey for the markets in Central Asia.

Aside from developing new business, as described above, quite often I have initiated and conducted a strategic realignment in conjunction with a restructuring of sales companies in order to achieve the required level of profitability.

As Division Director at the Corporate Headquarter I was in charge of Sales for OEM-Customers in Europe.


Strategic Line Tasks and Projects


Strategic sales tasks have been part of my responsibility as Division Director at the corporate HQ. My team and me defined the strategies and concepts together with selected Sales Subsidiaries prior to jointly implement them in the various markets: 

  • Alignment of an E-Commerce strategy between sales subsidiaries and corporate divisions. As a result a comprehensive Digital Transformation Program has been created with digital solutions for consumers and for trade customers.
  • Pricing issues, especially Trade Term Design systems of european sales subsidiaries with their trade customers.
  • Consultancy projects to improve distribution in China, North America and Turkey.
  • Benchmarking projects to increase operational excellence of sales companies.

Leader of a Corporate Project to improve the footprint in Emerging Markets with a focus on Asia-Pacific.

As a core member of a team hat established a German-Japanese Joint Venture for the production of washing machines in Thailand I carried the responsibility for sales issues as well as for the negotiation strategy and a smooth communication with the Japanese partner.


Assignments in various Markets


I dispose of long-time experience in the consumer goods industry. During this period I carried e.g. for many years in Singapore responsibilities as Managing Director for the BSH Regional Headquarter Asia-Pacific.

During my tenure in Japan I acted as Marketing Director for the Bosch Electrical Power Tools Division.

I accumulated expertise in the field of Automotive Aftermarket when working for Bosch as Marketing Director in Spain. 


Memberships in Supervisory Boards and Boards of Directors


Throughout many years I was acting as a board member in numerous subsidiaries in Asia, Europe, South-America, Africa as well as in a stock-listed company in Turkey as a representative of the global HQ.

During my tenure in Asia-Pacific I served as a Board Member in a German-Japanese Joint-Venture for the production of washing machines in Thailand.

In order to round up my expertise I acquired in 2012 the Certificate in Corporate Governance (IDP) at the INSEAD Business School, Fontainebleau.
